We welcome these NEW LOCATIONS to our Outdoor Living Supply family of companies!

Canva Design DAFlD4UkAMU-1

On May 25, 2023, we announced Outdoor Living Supply acquired C&R Stone World Inc., Stoneworld Utah LLC and Cedar Stone Supply, Inc, who are full-service distributors of natural stone, masonry, hardscape and landscape supplies. This acquisition expands OLS’ footprint in the Mountain states, adding five strategic locations in Utah and Idaho.

Headquartered in Mapleton, Utah, Stoneworld was founded by Rhett Robison in 2003. In subsequent years, Robison, together with Kolby Sawyer, Cody Petersen and Beau Brady, leveraged their strong customer base and generated regional growth via the addition of new locations in Utah and Idaho. Over its 20-year history, Stoneworld has grown into a leading independent distributor thanks to its quality products, operational expertise and focus on providing the highest level of customer service. Going forward, the existing management team will continue with the business, ensuring continuity and consistency for employees, customers and supplier partners.

PRODUCT & TRAINING Banner 2023 (2)

The Outdoor Living catalog is now available on the Intranet. This catalog contains a condensed offering and the most relevant products from four of our newer vendors: Daltile® Xteriors, AMD Direct, Dauer Manufacturing®, and Golden Vale Synthetic Turf with NetSuite product numbers for each item.

This is an awesome tool for selling and raising product awareness, helping us capture as much wallet share from our existing customers as possible. If you have questions, please reach out to Jack Smith.

COMING SOON: Rockwood Concrete Products™ Barn Plank series (walls, pavers, steps, firepits in Weathered Grey and Mahogany), Dauer Manufacturing® (highly efficient and durable low-voltage LED lighting and accessories), Delgado Stone (natural stone veneer, flagstone, steps, landscape and architectural stone products), and AMD Direct (stainless grills & appliances).

We are also excited to announce the expansion of Nicolock concrete products into our Nova Stone | Landscape & Masonry - Ashburn, VA, location. They hosted a Nicolock Mobile Design Center Open House on Tuesday, June 13, introducing the products to their customers. If you are interested in hosting a Nicolock event, please reach out to the Marketing Department.

We are in the process of creating training videos for both internal staff along with customers. We are excited to share with you more product focused videos along with contractor testimonial videos. With the launch of several new products this summer, we hope to leverage these videos to gain more knowledge and help in the selling process.

Concrete Masonry and Hardscapes Association (CMHA) Certification Classes: This is the time of year to start thinking about hosting an CMHA certification class. It is a good idea to start planning for these now for the slow season. We are working on a plan to deliver an English and Spanish format of the certification class which would be a BIG win in our industry.

TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION Banner 2023 (1)

Moving Cellular Services: We are moving from Verizon to AT&T. This allows us to capitalize on our cellular phones vs. expensing them. This will save the company $150k of expenses through 2026 and for any new phone line purchased, we save $15 per phone each month.

Dropbox Migration: We are in the process of migrating from Dropbox to the Microsoft set of tools. Please reach out to IT if you need assistance on moving your documents.

Apple Business Management: On the same note of moving cellular carriers, we have now enrolled all company phones into Apple Business Management (ABM). This allows us to take control of the phone better when employees leave the company. The next step will be to enroll the phones into Microsoft Intune so we can build and manage the image of each phone. This ensures when an employee leaves the company, all company information access is wiped clean.

IT Equipment Request: To ensure we have proper expense controls and appropriate approval, we have built out a new form that includes workflow approvals. To submit a request, please click the button below or on the Intranet.

NEW EQUIPMENT REQUEST

NetSuite Request Form: As the team continues to receive request for non-IT changes for NetSuite (product adds, pricing updates, etc.), we have built a new request form so we can consolidate those asks. This allows us to manage these requests more efficiently. Please note that we are still working with the workflow approvals. To submit a request, please click the button below or on the Intranet.

NETSUITE IN-TAKE REQUEST

TEAMs Conferencing Number: All employees that have a Microsoft Enterprise 3 License (E3 License) now has been enabled with a TEAMs conference number. When you create a new TEAMs meeting, the number will automatically be displayed and is ready to use.

Reporting of a Suspicious Email and Encrypting a Sensitive Email: When you receive an email there is now a button on your mail ribbon to automatically report a suspicious email. You also have the ability, when sending a sensitive email, to use the button to encrypt the message. See examples below.

Report a Suspicious Email:

Email Cloud Consolidation: We have worked over the last month to move all email addresses to the Microsoft Cloud and shut down 4 on prem serves in Bridgewater, NJ. This was the first step to enable us for auto-provisioning of accounts for access when people join or leave the company.

ADP Data Integration with Key Systems: We are working to connect ADP to Azure Active Directory and NetSuite. This will automatically flow important HR data to our important systems when people join the company.

Have IT questions or contact Resultant for troubleshooting? Please visit the IT Intranet page or click here.
