October 20, 2022, we announced Outdoor Living Supply acquired Bedrock Landscape Supply, an independent distributor of natural stone, pavers, bulk materials, and landscape supplies. The acquisition gives OLS a foothold in this fast-growing region as OLS continues to expand its network westward.
Based in Las Vegas, Bedrock Landscape Supply is a family-owned business founded in 2018 by Mark Wilson. Bedrock Landscape Supply's high-quality materials and knowledgeable, customer-centric employees have earned it a reputation with professional and DIY customers alike. Going forward, Mark will stay with Bedrock Landscape Supply to run the business, ensuring continuity and consistency for customer, suppliers and employees.
October 27, 2022, we announced Outdoor Living Supply acquired Geobunga, an independent distributor of garden elements, natural stone, pavers, bulk materials, and landscape supplies. This acquisition expands OLS' footprint into the Hawaiian market.
Based in Honolulu, Hawaii, Geobunga started in 2009 by Layla and Andrew Dedrick, previous owners of Bella Pietra, a stone and tile import, who saw opportunity in an underserved urban gardening market. Since that time, Geobunga has grown into Hawaii's leading outdoor living resource for homeowners, contractors, and landscape designers. Going forward, Layla and Andrew will continue in their leadership roles, ensuring continuity and consistency for customer and supplier partners.
November 8, 2022, we announced Outdoor Living Supply acquired LandCare Associates, an independent distributor of natural stone, hardscapes, supplies and bulk materials in northern New England. This acquisition helps strengthen OLS' footprint in this key market.
Based in Madbury, New Hampshire, LandCare Associates was founded in 1984 by Daniel Gordon as a property maintenance and landscape services provider. In 1991, LandCare Associates made the move into distribution and, in 2015, purchased a second store, Stratham Hill Stone, establishing itself as northern New England's largest dealer of natural stone and hardscape products. Going forward, Daniel will continue to lead LandCare Associates.
November 21, 2022, we announced Outdoor Living Supply acquired Tahoe Sand & Gravel, and independent distributor of bulk materials, hardscapes and masonry supplies to the Lake Tahoe basin and surrounding area. This acquisition further strengthens OLS' presence in the greater Lake Tahoe market.
Tahoe Sand & Gravel was founded in 1981 by Steve and Roxanne Harding as a two-person, one truck operation in South Lake Tahoe. Over the past 40 years, Tahoe Sane & Gravel commitment to providing "good friendly service" has allowed it to build long-term relationships with homeowners and contractors, fueling its continued growth. Going forward, Steve and Roxanne will continue to lead Tahoe Sand & Gravel, ensuring continuity and consistency for customers and supplier partners.

- Remember to make sure you have beneficiaries setup for your life insurance. (Update your 401k beneficiaries while you are at it!)
- HR will reach out to anyone who needs to provide health information for supplemental life insurance.
- Your new insurance cards will be mailed to your home in the first week of the new year.
- The first new benefit payroll deductions will be pulled from the January 13, 2023 payroll.
Wrapping up the HRA. As the year wraps up, so does the 2022 Gente HRA plan (Health Reimbursement Arrangement) that was part of the Horizon medical plan. The HRA will end on December 31, 2022. As a reminder, we do not have an HRA as part of the 2023 BCBS medical plans. The Gente benefit will still be available for a while during a runout for any claims that are incurred during 2022, even if Horizon processes the claim later. You will have until March 31, 2023, to submit any claims that were incurred during 2022.
PTO Accruals. In August OLS changed from a calendar year plan of vacation and sick time to an accrual program of Paid Time Off. The good news is that the paid time off benefit is no longer tied to a calendar year where you would “use-it-or-lose-it.” Your current PTO balance will simply continue accruing more hours with each payroll into the new year.
Holidays. ‘Tis the season to be jolly! Our upcoming OLS paid holidays are Christmas (Monday, Dec. 26), New Year's Eve (Friday, Dec. 30) and New Year's Day (Monday, Jan. 2, 2023).

Update on Golden Vale Synthetic Turf. Most of the Eastern Division locations have displays installed. The Northeast, Nevada and California markets should have displays installed by Dec. 16.
